How Does It Work?
The Process
Submit Application Form.
First, fill out the application form at the bottom of this page. You’ll then set up a free discovery call so we can discuss the project details & make sure we’re a good fit for your custom website project.

Custom Website Proposal.
After the discovery call, I’ll send you a proposal (within 2 business days) detailing the project specifications, timeline, & cost. Once you accept the proposal, I will send you a project contract to sign & an invoice for the first payment to reserve your project start date. At this point, you will have officially booked your custom website project!

Complete Prep Work.
Once your project is booked, I’ll send you access to your client portal where we will communicate throughout the duration of the project. The portal will include project details & milestones, a place to add your content, graphics, & images, & the Website Content Planner for you to complete prior to our website strategy video call.

Website Strategy Session.
To kickoff your custom website project, we’ll hop on a 30-60 minute website strategy video call. We’ll discuss your design preferences, business challenges & pain points, website goals, content provided, & required features & functionalities.

Custom Web Design Mockup.
Based on the information you provide in your project application & during our strategy session, I will create a static mockup of your homepage and, depending on the breadth & complexity of your custom website project, additional mockups or wireframes of specific internal pages. Once the mockup is approved, I will use it to begin the website build.

Custom Website Build Begins.
I will build out a completely bespoke website (up to 8 pages) that is truly unique to your business, reflects the essence of your brand, & is built to attract your ideal clients.

Revise & Refine Website.
Once your website has been developed, I’ll provide you with a link to the development website for you to review. You’ll compile a comprehensive list of any changes for me to complete. Your custom website project comes with 2 rounds of revisions prior to launch.

Website Launch & Project Wrap.
Once your revisions have been completed & the final website is approved, I will officially launch your website & we’ll hop on a video launch party call to celebrate! At project completion, you’ll receive access to your new website, as well as video tutorials detailing how to log in & make changes to your website going forward.

How is a Custom Website different from a Website In A Week?
A Custom Website is a completely custom web design, built just for your business, with any in-depth features & functionalities you need!
A Website In A Week starts with a pre-built website template & customizes it to reflect the brand & style. Because a Website In A Week uses a much more streamlined & simple approach, the website itself can be built in a week. A custom website is designed & built from scratch & is a much more in-depth, personalized process, resulting in a completely custom website with added features & functionalities.
What do I need to have prepared before we begin?
You should have the content for your website (ie- copy for web pages, images/headshots, etc.) gathered & completed prior to the project start. You will also need to complete the Website Content Planner during your prep time prior to the project start.
Are website domain & hosting included?
No. Website domain & hosting are not included with your Custom Website service. You will need to obtain your domain & hosting package prior to project start. I’m happy to assist with this if you need help.
How far in advance should I plan to book my project?
You should plan to give yourself enough time to gather all of your website content & complete the Website Content Planner I will send when you book your project date. Everyone’s schedule differs, of course, but I would recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance of your Custom Website project in order to ensure you have sufficient time to gather all of the necessary content.
How long does it take to build a custom website?
While timelines vary based on project complexity, I would estimate 6-8 weeks from strategy session to launch for a custom website project.
I don't have my website copy written yet. Can you help with that?
You will receive a Website Content Planner at the time you book your project which will help you organize & write your website copy for several main pages. If you need additional assistance, you may want to look into hiring a copywriter to help write your copy prior to your project start.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! Payments for Custom Website projects are split into 3 payments – 30% is due at time of project booking to reserve your project start date, the next 30% is due on the day of your website strategy session, & the final balance is due at project completion, prior to receiving your website login information & video tutorials. All payments are non-refundable.
Are revisions included if I want to make any changes to my website?
The Custom Website building process allows for 2 rounds of revisions where you submit a comprehensive list of changes & I complete these revisions twice before we launch your website. Once your website is launched, you’ll receive video tutorials detailing how to make changes to your web pages yourself. If you need further assistance in making changes in the future, you can schedule a VIP Day with me (at a reduced rate) to complete your changes.
